A tale of forbidden love is … well, forbidden.

Once again, New Moon stepped into Karazhan to help clear the place of its evil inhabitants. We has me and Arzen (Protection Warrior) as tanks, with Grimix, Zophia, Frewdin, Alin, Ktarye and Zinshara beating things to a pulp, along with Taelina and Kyllyn keeping us alive. Since we had already taken down Moroes, we made an attempt at The Opera Event to start the day. For the first time in New Moon history (I’m so melodramatic) we watched and disrupted Romulo and Julianne.

For the first attempt, we didn’t quite understand where things would spawn, so we wiped. On the second try, I had a hard time picking up Romulo in Phase 3, so we wiped. The third time … well, the third time’s a charm.

It was like clock work. Arzen and I agreed that I would use Consecration to help ensure that Romulo and Julianne would not go after the rest of the party. That worked for Julianne, which Arzen promptly pulled off of me as planned; but not for Romulo. Luckily, I had my Exorcism at the ready, so I picked him up rather quickly. That fight went like clockwork, and with that, Romulo and Julianne down. I must also thank Romulo and Julianne for giving me the last two Badges of Justice that I needed to pick up the long awaited Libram of Repentence.

After that, we cleared our way to Attumen so we could repair. It was nice to see that Attumen finally dropped his tanking bracers. Arzen won those.

I’ve been in Karazhan close to two dozen times easily. I’ve seen Moroes Drop his tanking trinket and belt, I’ve seen Opera drop the tanking helm, and now I’ve seem Attumen drop his tanking bracers. I’m exclusively a tank in Kara and we always have two tanks. I have yet to win ANY rolls for boss drops in there. While I’m happy for my guildies, it is rather frustrating for me. At least I picked up the Boots of Elusion from the trash, I guess.

How do I get new dice??

Forged in the heart of a dying star, this ethereal blade is feared across the cosmos.

Last night, a group of us from New Moon went into Heroic Mechanar. It was me tanking, with Arzen (Fury Warrior), Grimix (Itty Bitty Gnome Frost Mage that packs one hell of a punch), Taelina (Holy Priestess of Elune) and Ktarye (Elemental Shaman). The first pull went … well, something like whack, whack, whack, Serrot: RIP. That was a sign of things to come, I think.

Overall, the night was slow going and by any standards, it was not pretty. There were too many wipes to call the night an overwhelming success, not to mention the drain on the purse when repairing was a bit daunting. That being said, it was productive endeavor when it was all said and done.

I have to admit that my days off from Outland Tanking Duty had taken its toll on me. I made some pretty stupid mistakes in there. But I guess a few of us did. Let’s see, Ktarye forgot some reagents; Tae needed to get the rhythm of healing this heroic down; Grimix, the powerhouse mage that he is kept pulling aggro, I made some pretty bad pulls and managed to not pick up some mobs when I should have; and Arzen … well actually, Arzen was spot on all night long. Yeah Arzen!! With all the blunders, we managed to take down the two demon bosses, Mechano-Lord Capacitus and Pathaleon the Calculator. We decided to skip Nethermancer Sepethrea because we just didn’t have enough Fire Resistance to bother.

At the end of the day, we each ended up with 4 Badges of Justice, and many of us also got at least one other goody. Arzen got a Thoriumweave Cloak and Grimix got a Shining Fire Opal from Capacitus. Arzen also got a much needed Primal Nether, Ktarye got Baba’s Cloak of Arcanistry and I got my long-awaited Sun Eater from Pathaleon. For a run that didn’t go so smoothly, the payoff wasn’t bad. 9 Badges down, 6 to go for my tanking Libram; then I get to start collecting them all over again for more gear.

Hello Mister Curator. OUCH!

Hello again everyone. I’m been taking it easy as of late, but a post on my blog is quite overdue, so I thought I’d stop by and give everyone an update. Things continue to go well for me. I’m trying to save up for an epic bird, but that is slow going. Daily quests only give you so much gold and other expenses continue to climb. Oh well. Someday.

On a happier note, New Moon continues to progress nicely through Karazhan. Just the other week, we managed to down Attumen (no big deal), Moroes (we’ve got his number), and the mean old Big Bad Wolf. It was sort of nice to see more content. We cleared the mobs up until The Curator.

The Curator greeted us chillingly with, “The Menagerie is for guests only.” It went downhill from there. If what people say is true, then that fight is somewhat of a gear check and we are not quite ready for him yet. I’d say that we tried him maybe four or five times. Nonetheless, I’d say that was a new high point for New Moon on the progression front and I was glad to be part of it.

Anyway, Attumen, Moroes and Maiden all still owe me some loot. There’s work still to be done on the first and second floors, but we’ll visit the Menagerie again soon.
