Light’s Defender

Yes, I still exist. I haven’t left the game. I haven’t died. Well, I guess I’ve died plenty of times, but not permanently. I’ve just been taking it easy the last few weeks. I’m embarrassed though that I haven’t posted here in a couple of months.

New Moon continues to battle Karazhan. Serrot has been just focusing on raiding lately, so not much going on in daily quests from my standpoint. I’ll post a bit more of an update this weekend on what’s been going on during the last few weeks, but wanted to make sure everyone knew I was still here.

Welcome to the new location for Light’s Defender. We have chosen to move from Blogger to Wordpress for the simple reason that this platform offers us the flexibility to expand our features over time. You will notice that all the posts from our prior site can be found here, along with any comments posted.

I wanted to point out two important items. First, to continue to post comments, you will need to register with the site. Near the bottom of the Side Panel, you will notice a “Site Related” section with a “Register” link. It is quick and painless, so please take a moment to register. So tonight, I step foot into Karazhan for the first time. It seems only fitting that if I were going to start my little blog, I start it on this occasion.

I have come a long way from the days of Level 1 in Northshire. While I leveled my way up to the mid-60’s as a Retribution Paladin, I began to see some of the benefits of the Protection spec and decided to switch over and make a pitiful attempt at tanking. It did, in fact, start off somewhat pitiful; but with the help of my guild (especially Barinath who is another tankadin in our guild) and my friends at Maintankadin, I have become proud of my tanking abilities over the past couple of months.

So, today I enter my first real raid. This should be an interesting challenge as these mobs don’t take “whack” for an answer. They take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. I hope I can take more of a lickin’ then they can.
